Accountancy in the UK is a partly regulated profession, and it is easy for a website to imply more than it can evidence. This page sets out exactly what we hold, what we do not, and which bodies we write about rather than belong to.
What We Hold
No professional body membership, licence or accreditation is published on this site because none has yet been supplied with evidence. Nothing anywhere on this website should be read as a claim to hold one. Once the practice provides evidence, entries are switched to confirmed in config/site.ts and appear here and in the footer.

We are not regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and we do not provide clinical, regulatory or Practice Standards advice. Where our work touches those areas we work to the requirements your practice is subject to, alongside your own advisers.
We do not provide legal advice. Partnership agreements, shareholder agreements, leases and sale documents are drafted by solicitors, and we work with yours on the financial mechanics.
We do not provide regulated financial advice on investments, pensions or insurance products. Where a decision needs that, we say so and work with an authorised adviser.
We are not a reseller for any accounting or practice management software and we hold no commission arrangement with any vendor mentioned on this site.

Veterinary Sector Bodies We Work Alongside
These are authorities we reference in our writing and whose requirements shape our clients businesses. They are not memberships and we make no claim to be endorsed by any of them.
Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Regulates veterinary surgeons and runs the Practice Standards Scheme. We work to its requirements, we are not regulated by it.
RCVS Practice Standards Scheme
Voluntary accreditation covering premises, clinical governance and record keeping. Accreditation level affects staffing cost and capital expenditure planning.
British Veterinary Association. Represents the profession and publishes policy positions that shape practice economics.
Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons. Publishes the fees and profitability surveys used across the sector for benchmarking.
Veterinary Management Group. Professional body for practice managers and clinical directors, with a focus on leadership and operational performance.
British Veterinary Nursing Association. Relevant to nurse-led clinic income, nurse retention and payroll structure.
British Small Animal Veterinary Association. Congress, CPD and clinical guidance for small animal practice.
Veterinary Defence Society. Professional indemnity and support for veterinary surgeons and nurses, including locums.
Veterinary Medicines Directorate. Regulates veterinary medicines, which drives how practices buy, store, prescribe and account for stock.
Competition and Markets Authority. Its veterinary market investigation concluded on 24 March 2026 and its remedies change how practices publish prices.
